Sheffield Design Awards


The Sheffield Design Awards is a biennial design competition which celebrates design excellence in architecture and the built environment in and around Sheffield.

The winners of the following awards will be announced at the ceremony on the 26th October at the Former Head post Office / Sheffield Institute of Arts:

Best Building Award
Conservation Award
Residential Award
Contribution to Open Spaces Award
Small Project Award
Overall Winner
People’s Choice Award
Keith Hayman Award for contribution to Public Art or Cycling

This year’s awards has been fiercely competitive and has seen a record number of entries. Shortlisted projects have made it through 2 rounds of shortlisting and have now been visited by the independent panel of judges.


Nominations for the biennial Sheffield Design Awards have now closed.

The winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on 26th October 2016 in the Head Post Office building in Fitzalan Square, the new home of the Sheffield Institute of Arts at Sheffield Hallam University.
